Why IM and Sport

imACTIVE is the sport solution of Interactive Metronome. imACTIVE focusses on optimising sport performance and enhance reaction time and concentration over an extended period of time in sportsman and woman.

No matter what sport you do, timing is of the essence. Increasing reaction time increases the speed at which you are doing the activity and we need concentration to perform that action at the same speed over a period of time. Activities are done either in a short period of time like 100 meter dash and over a long period of time like endurance mountain biking.

imACTIVE can be applied to any physical activity or recreation and is not limited to professional sport.

  • The program usually involves 12 to 15 sessions (although additional sessions may be necessary in some cases) of approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

  • IM’s game like features engage the trainee with auditory and visual guidance which provides feedback while encouraging the trainee to improve their scores in various ways.

  • This interactive training process provides an opportunity to exercise and build the core mental skills essential for learning, development and recovery.
